Taylor Swift

The horrors of the Ticketmaster – Taylor Swift debacle was heard around the world. No one was safe.

Taylor Swift has long been a family favorite. None of us are die-hard Swifties, but we’ve always appreciated her and loved her music. Julia, Larkin, and I have been listening to her songs since she was 14 years old and released Teardrops on my Guitar. We all predicted she would be huge. Was it us? Are we to thank? We gaped at the rumors that she was buying the house on the cliff in Rhode Island just five minutes from us. We gaped even harder when it was true. I gaped the BIGGEST when she walked by me having lunch at the Olympia Tea Room. We careened down the river in the dingy when she went by on her paddle board. We knew the name of her boat. I would imagine she grows tired of people like us. I can say confidently that I’ve come the closest to meeting her, since I have given her parents a ride out to their friends’ boat in the Watch Hill Harbor. So ha.

But when I was eighth in the queue for her Eras tour, and my coworkers were standing behind me cheering me on, as we all held our breath, I was so excited. I was going to get them! I was going to go!  So when the queue refreshed and I, along with thousands of others, was the collateral damage of Ticketmaster, I was very upset.

I got a text yesterday asking me what I was doing on May 13th. How would I know what I’m doing on May 13th? Nothing? I don’t know??

“Do you want to come to Taylor Swift?” I said are you twisting my arm right now, say psych, are you messing with me? She was serious though; her friend could no longer go. SO there’s a happy ending! Ya girl is going to Taylor Swift!!

About Me

Welcome! I’ve decided to join in the fun this year and try my hand at writing a little something every day for the month of March. HOPEFULLY, it’ll instill a pattern and I’ll continue on.

I am currently living in New York City and excited to share daily moments inspired by NYC!
